Some people make their "home page" a place on their own computer.
It's not all that odd. It's what I and a lot of my
even geekier friends do as standard practice. We use it as a sort of Super
Bookmarks page with some worthwhile built in functions.
It also loads up instantly without having to wait for the net to
give you your home page, perhaps saving tens of minutes a year.
The Home-Home page below can be imagined as a super bookmark setup.
Being a geek, it also includes: A weather forecast, an
inflation calculator going back to 1913, and a search engine entry
form. You can see it all by its lonesome by clicking
here.
Read all about it

download everything you need to build your own, including the

Home Home on the Web
To the tune of "Home on the Range"
Oh give me a home,
Where attention spans roam,
Where the geeks and
the yuppies all play.
Where often is heard,
Every Oxford English word...
and the skies can be cloudy...
<ripping noise>
....like I'm Totally Sure!
....who even notices or cares?
....back to surfing dudes!
<loud door slams>
Oh. OK. Ahem....
Home, Home, on the Net
'Cuz y'all just ain't seen ever thang' yet.
Where often is heard,
Every Oxford English word...
And SPAM Killers stop E-Mail's that say: " . . . " <snip>
